General Information
Through guest ordering channels (for selected platforms who implement the functionality within their API calls) service charges can be added to the order basket based on settings configured both in Aztec and in iOrder Platform | Ordering Manager | Service Charges.

What's Supported

The ability for an iOrder user to create a service charge rule in iOrder. Each rule is mapped to an Aztec service charge tax rule. Only fixed % service charge rules are supported

These rules can be applied to specific platforms, order modes and Sites/Sales areas

The service charge can be configured as mandatory or discretionary and a friendly name can be added which will be shown in the basket screen

Once a rule is configured, when a Checkbasket API call is made, related to the specific platform, order mode, site/sales area defined in the rule, iOrder will apply the tax rule to the basket. The Service Charge will be applied to products as configured in Aztec and will be returned in the basket response. The response will include the service charge amount, the Aztec tax id, whether the Service Charge is mandatory or discretionary and the friendly name configured in the rule

The ability for a guest to remove a discretionary service charge, this is achieved via Checkbasket

When an order is paid for the service charge value will be included in the overall total charged

When an order is processed down to the till the service charge will be recorded in Aztec

The ability to output the service charge in the Order Confirmation email
